So today I found out why every time I attempted to sign up for a music theory class there would be nothing but morning classes. Apparently it's a university standard for music majors to start the day with theory classes, and as such, they only have insane times like 8:00 AM (boo hoo, bitch, bitch, I know, but I do NOT function well in the morning

ok.. so.. don't let anybody fool you. Music theory is a weed out course.

It seperates the boys from the men to so speak.

They want to see if you really have what it takes as well as do you have the desire and determination it takes. They want to see that you get up everyday and make it to class. That you get your stuff done on time and that you are able to think on your feet in unideal situations (like when your half asleep) and participate in some of the heavy intellectual conversations that go on in theory courses. So all music theory courses at any school are at the ass crack of dawn. They may or may not start out easy.. if they are easy.. they quickly get hard.

my advise:

Coffee.... porn (before bed).... avoid marajuanna.. but embrase alcohol (on the weekends only)
