Rachel Funari went missing while backpacking in Tasmania and was last seen on March 3 2011. Given the rugged wilderness area she was in and the searches conducted she is, in all likelihood, dead. More information here.

I last saw Rachel a couple of years ago at the folk festival, late at night, in a packed dance venue. She danced over to me gestured at the crowd and said "they are all so young!" We laughed together.

Rest well Rachel, forever young.
