lol - another 100 books list

lol.

a friend of mine posted this list, saying taht the BBC (?) thought that nearly nobody would have read more than 6 of the mentioned books/collections. so. let's go prove them wrong, won't we?

bold - read completely
italicy - read partly/excerpts

I think I've decided NOT to read Life of Pi just because so many people like to gush about it.

Something I find amusing about this list is that both Lord of The Flies, The Great Gatsby and Hamlet are required reading where I live at least. So most highschool students will have read them. I also read To Kill a Mockingbird for class in grade 8. I wonder why it is that they thought few people will have read 6+ of these books?

I don't know how they handle those required books at your schools, but I know from mine, that there were some books that were only required for the advanced courses, and usually, there was like a list of 30 from which you sorta had to pick 3 ( ... )
