Our Mountain Walk

I've often called it the "cruel mountain." It's got a few stiff inclines and it's fairly depressing to have a 3year old lap you....a couple of times. Also, that asphalt is a lot more slippery than it looks. Still, the scenery is lovely and so it makes for a challenging yet beautiful walk ( Read more... )

The post is kind of scorpion heavy, isn't it? I didn't expect the little one in the picture with the whip scorpion, I think that one definitely sends things over the creepy edge.

Yeah, I think it's a king snake. Our scorpions are so different--extra large (like a glove) and sorta fuzzy. The centipedes look the same. My mom always says they appear in pairs. If you find one in the house...another will pop up soon....

Your scorpions sound like you could put a leash on them and bows in their hair and name them things like Escobar and put on shows. eek. I thought ours were bad. Our centipedes are usually longer with shorter, more reasonable legs so this one was a surprise to us.
