I probably shouldn't be on here updating as I'm at work. Not that we're busy or anything--no one's died in 4 days. I go on-call Wednesday at 8 am until Thursday at 8 am, surely I will get hit with bodies. It seems to go that way if we're slow for a few days, someone's going to get hit..it'll probably be me

Dude.. we should live closer to one another.. I can work in hospice care and recommend dying patients to you.

I know this probably sounds really bad/unethical/etc/.. and it's probably impossible given legal considerations, but I wish I could see your work.. that would rule. I don't mean it in a bad way, if it sounds like that.. I just think it would be fascinating :)

it's not a rude or weird request. I've given lots of tours of the funeral home to curious friends and I let them see the prep room (although company policy mandates that to enter the prep room you must have your hep a & b vaccinations and none of my friends have had that, so all they can do is look through the doorway). I have always wanted to have a certain friend of mine watch me embalm someone..I think it'd be so fucking cool to explain the process..also I would love to give her the experience to see what exactly I do and that would allow for a greater appreciation of my work that would undoubtedly spread to our massive group of friends and acquaintences...but alas, THAT is highly unethical and completely impossible.
