Most of you won't care, but Xykon has proven himself to be at least a level 30 character, The party has demonstrated nothing above mid teens in level. They have no business going up against him.

Ah, but!

It depends on what the total encounter level of the campaign is.

Also, the PCs have been steadily leveling up. I think when they get a few more levels apiece, they'll be ready to face him.

yea, just looked into the comic, They are lvl 13 (as Durkon can cast Resurrection) and Elan also just gained two 5th lvl spells and one 4rth.

although I can only find evidence that Xykon has 12th lvl spell slots (maximized energy drain) He has demostrated knowledge of one epic lvl spell (sequester) but no other epic spells that I've noticed. So greater than 20, less than 30.

12 th level spell slots means he has three copies of extra spell slot and epic spell means epic spellcasting, assuming solid sorcerer as nothing else is ever mentioned he needs 26 levels of corc to have all those feets. Liche is a +4 LA, therefore 30

Xyknon has been kicking some major butt the past couple strips. So much so it makes one wonder whom he encountered to level up himself? Raistlin Majere?
