So, as I'm fairly sure most of you know, I'm currently a government code monkey. NASA, specifically. Don't get me wrong, I'm just the greasy undergrad, so it's not like I do anything of any real import, or anything particularly impressive. we all know how nice a bunch of failed projects look on one's resume. You don't need to include that information, and they'd probably never know the difference. Unless you're applying for another NASA position, and they would understand, as there's been a lot of this kind of money-shuffling going on at NASA for a while now.

In the last five years or so, I've worked on three missile systems that have been canceled. I don't know how I jinx them. I mean, I build smoke models for their simulations. I'm out on the periphery. It's not like I'm designing their warheads or anything. But, man, they see me coming and they close up shop. I figure if I can kill off another couple of systems, I can retire, because there won't be anything left to work on!
