ok ... looking to tap the collective geek brain again.

I have an ISO I want to write to disk, problem is that it's saying it requires 4.6Gb of space to write, and as we all know the average DVD is 4.4Gb.

As it's an ISO, I can't simply leave out a few files.

Other than buying a DL disk, any suggestions of how to get around this?

Would it work if you used a dual-layer DVD? If so that would enable you to write up to around 9GB.

I did say "other than buying a DL disk" - I haven't looked at the price of DL disks recently, but they are quite a bit more than the single layer ones AFAIK.

I overcame the problem by using Daemon Tools to mount the iso as a drive and installed the program without having to burn it to disk.

Single-layer DVDs are 4.7GB? Or is this a 'different types of GB' issue... (I know for sure they're not 4.4 G*b* though ;)

Nero tells me the capacity of a DVD is 4.4gb and refuses to write more to it.

I did eventually overcome the problem - I used Daemon tools to mount the iso as a drive and installed the program that way.
