“Come on guys! Come on guys! Stay with me! Don’t you die!”, screamed Kenji. It’s been 3 hours since Chizumi and Satoshi’s been knocked out with the poisonous gas. Their breathing has been off since the first hour. “Come on! BREATHE!”, Kenji starts to sob.
“It’s going to be okay, Kenji. They are going to be fine. Trust me.”, said Kado-Sensei.
“Yeah, Kenji! They are strong! Come on we need to stop sulking around. We need to cheer them on and help Kado-Sensei finish the medicine and stuff. Okay?”, Daichi said with much confident.
“Okay. I guess you’re right.”, Kenji said. He wipes off the tears with his right sleeve. “Okay. Kado-Sensei? Do you need help with anything? Like finding the right ingredients or something?”
“Yeah. Can you help me find a Hibiscus flower? It’s said to be close around here. They like to grow in warm places, with lots of water.”
“Uhm! Okay I’ll go look for it.”
“Wait a minute, Kenji. You don’t really have to look for it in any special place. You can go to the greenhouse down the street and ask for it. Just tell them that you need a Hibiscus flower for an antidote. They’ll probably give it to you. If not, just tell them that Kadonomaro needs it.”
“Okay! How many more hours till… you know?”
“Razan said 48 hours, but I don’t trust him. He probably lied. I think they only have 24 hours. It’s a already been 3 hours, so they have 21 more hours. You need to hurry though. It takes a while to make the medicine.”
“Hai!” Kenji runs out the door to the greenhouse. *I need to hurry. I don’t want them to die! They can’t die either! They have a big responsibility when they reach the age of 14 and 15. Uhh!!! I wished this never would’ve happened! I need to hurry! Come on Kenji! You can do it! Run faster!* Kenji runs so fast that smoke and dirt comes flying up behind him. *Hang in there guys! I will save you.*
-Back at the house-
“Okay. We need to start the antidote. Shizuki? Daichi? Can you guys keep Chizumi and Satoshi company? Try talking to them. Make sure they can hear you though. Keep them occupied while we make the medicine. Taro and Midori, I will need your help with making the medicine.”
“Hai~”, they all replied.
“Oi~ Chizumi-chan. Satoshi-kun. Can you hear me?”, asked Daichi. “If you can, can you please nod or something?” Chizumi starts to open her eyes. So does Satoshi. “Chizumi! Satoshi! You’re awake!
“Uhm.”, Chizumi said very faintly.
“Kado-Sensei!!! They’re awake! Kado-Sensei!!!”, yelled Daichi.
“Wha-What?! Why are you yelling?”
“They’re awake!”
“Who?”
“Chizumi and Satoshi!”
“Ahh. Well that’s a relief!”
“Onii…sam…a?”
“Uhm! Can you hear me? Chizumi? Satoshi? Please say something.”
“Uhm… I’m okay.”, replied Chizumi and Satoshi. They smiled at each other.
Kenji bursts into the house again. “Huh-uh-huh.”, breathed Kenji. “I got… the… Hi…bis…cus!! Ka…do-Sensei!”
“I’m right here, Kenji. Calm down, Kenji. Bring it over here.
“Haii!”, Kenji hurries over to Kado-Sensei and gives him the flower. Kado throws the flower into the pot, petal by petal. Then he stirs the pot with antidote. He then pours the antidote into two cups.
“Chizumi. Satoshi. Drink this. Hurry.” Chizumi tries to sit up but couldn’t. Kenji runs over to her and pulls her up to where she was sitting upward. Midori goes over to Satoshi and sits him upward as well. Chizumi gulps down her medicine as fast as she could. Satoshi was having a little problem. He didn’t like the smell. Chizumi finally convinced him to drink it after she finished. She got a little sleepy though, so fell asleep as well.
“Whew!”, relieved Kenji. “That was a close one. I am sure glad we did it in time. And that they are feeling better.”
“Onii-sama?”, asked Chizumi.
“Chizumi-chan! You’re okay! Are you still tired? Cause We’re in no rush! You can still sleep if you’re tired.”
“No. I’m okay. I’m not tired that much anymore. Where’s Satoshi?”
“Okay, that’s good to know. Umm… Satoshi is over there with Midori. Is everything okay? Do you need to talk to him or something?”
“No I was just wondering.”
Kado-Sensei suddenly says something. “Umm… minna-san? Can I please have your attention? Okay.. I just have a small suggestion to make considering what had happened today. I was thinking that well… Taro-kun and I could teach all of you some karate/self defense/tai kwan do. That way if you’re in any trouble where we’re not around, you can be safe.”
“I think that’s an awesome idea!”, blurted out Daichi. “Oops… sorry was I not suppose to blurt out?” Everyone started to laugh and forgot about the situation at the moment.
“I agree with Daichi.”, giggles Midori. “I want to keep Chizumi and Satoshi as safe as possible! I made a promise to myself when this was all happening. I promised myself that I would keep them safe even if I had to… well um… die.” Everyone just stares at her. Satoshi started to wake up.
“Huh! Where’s Chizumi? Is she okay? Where is she?”, gasps Satoshi.
“It’s okay Satoshi! Calm down! Breathe. Chizumi is fine. She’s right here. She woke up about 10 or 15 minutes ago”, said Kenji.
“Oh… Whew.”, breathes Satoshi. “I’m glad! Can I please see her? I need to talk to her.”
“Yeah. Here I’ll care you over to her. You’re probably still a little weak to walk.”
“Well… okay. Arigato, Onii-sama. Chizumi! Chizumi daijo~ bu?”, asked Satoshi while he gave her a tight hug.
“Yeah… Can’t… breathe. Too… tight.”
“Oh… sorry. What happened while I was asleep?”, Satoshi asked out loud. Then he whispered to Chizumi, “I need to talk to you in private later.”, to where no one else noticed or heard.
-Shizuki had gone home when Chizumi and Satoshi had fell asleep again. He needed to change. He smelt really bad. Lol.-
Shizuki walks in and screams!
“WHAT?!?”, everyone else screamed back!
“Chizumi-chan! Satoshi! You guys are okay! He runs over to them and gives them a hug.
“Yupp!”, said the two twins. “Where have you been?! Plus weren’t you already here when we first woke up?”
“I had to go home and get changed. I didn’t want anyone to smell me, when I was all stinky and all. You know when you woke up and stuff.”
“Haha(:”, smiles Chizumi.
“Okay you guys. You can chitchat later. Right now we need to come up with an answer to my suggestion. Kenji? What do you think?”, said Kado-Sensei.
“Oh yeah. Right. I agree to it. But you have to ask them and see what they would like to do.”
“Huh? What are we talking about?”, asked Satoshi and Shizuki in unison.
“Oh that’s right! Shizuki wasn’t here when we said all this and Satoshi was still asleep. We are talking about if we would want to take karate.”, answered Daichi. “So do you?! Cause I’m sure gonna do it!!”
“I’m good with it.”, said Shizuki.
“Me too.”, said Satoshi.
“Uhmm… me three.”, Chizumi agreed.
“Okay then. Everyone here will take classes stating next Monday! Now let’s go home and let Satoshi and Chizumi rest.”, said Kado-Sensei.
“Chotto matte! Where are we gonna live?”, asked Midori.
“Huh? What do you mean? We’re going to live here, smarty!”, said a forgetful Daichi.
“No… She means.. How? Okasan to Otousan wa shinde… obuete? None of us are old enough to live by ourselves…”, said Kenji. The siblings all looked at each other with sad expressions.
