The showdown: fastest way to dc from herndon

For the past few weeks I have been commuting to DC for my new job at the Federal Reserve Board. It's a little bit on the long side averaging about an hour and a half (one way) but it goes by pretty quickly due to a combination of my iphone and psp. I noticed that you listed "dangerous/crazy drivers" as a detriment to riding, but I didn't see it in the cost/benefit analysis. I know you're wearing armor and what not, but I would still consider that to be a pretty big expense, albeit one that's a bit harder to calculate.

i did consider that. i think of the jacket, gloves, helmet, boots as essentials to riding. kinda like built into the price just like the way you're buying a car with abs, airbags and other fancy safety devices.
