WE'RE ENGAGED!!!

So Jeremy proposed to me on Friday evening on the roof of the Peabody hotel. He totally surprised me and that's definitely a feat all in itself since I seem to be able to guess everything he plans. I was off on Friday, so I spent all day veg-ing on the couch. He called me at 5:30 to let me know he was coming home and that he wanted to go take sunset pictures from the roof of the Peabody. He picked me up and we went to his sister's place to pick up some stuff. By then, the sun was already setting and I kept trying to get out of going downtown (so I didn't know why he wanted to go so I didn't want to). When we got to the Peabody, I told him that he could go take pictures, and I would stay downstairs in the lobby. He pretty much had to drag me up to the roof. When we got up there, we took some skyline pictures and some duck pictures. As we were starting to head back towards the hotel, I decided that we needed some pictures of Jeremy on the rooftop, so I took the camera. He posed for one picture, and I started to hand the camera back. He was like, "Wait take another picture while I propose." He had spent all week pretending to propose all the while telling me that he didn't have the ring and that he was going out shopping with his mom for it the next day. I was like, "Yeah, whatever." and started to hand the camera back, but the next thing I know, he's actually on one knee. I kinda disregarded the whole position until I saw that he was actually holding a ring box, and that there was actually a ring in the box! It was all very sweet, and it definitely took me by surprise.

I know, a whole bunch of y'all saw me on Saturday and we didn't mention anything, nor was i wearing my ring, but the reason for that is the reason we are currently sitting in a Starbucks in Dallas. We wanted my parents to be the first to know, so we snuck down here and showed up at my mom's office. She was very surprised to see us standing at her desk, and she was very happy that we are now officially engaged even though we'd been talking about this forever. Now comes all the stress that comes with planning the wedding. I'll keep everyone posted as to how things go.
