amen sista the reverend & the rapper guy were cool!! if other people can celebrate their religious holidays at school why can't Christian's express their beliefs?
Yes, it might not be too good if religious remarks and beliefs are expressed in school rallies, but it shouldn't be offensive either. Rapping on Christianity or the celebration of faith isn't "forcing" religion upon anyone. Lame.
uhh. that's not what he said. he apologized to those who were offended. and i think that it was necessary for an explanation. because when i first heard the rapper i was like...uhhh, excuse me? they're bringing religion into a school rally?............nooo. but then i thought about it, and you have to look at it as black history instead of christianity. the thing is, though, it still is offensive because it wasn't explained well.
if you think about it...religion is always in school rallies. the pledge of alligence, "one nation under God." so, ya, there is always something religious that people argue about. and i do agree that this was not very well explained.
