THAT, my friend, is bullshit. The opportunities for exit from this game are ONE and one only. Even hiding up in the woods is another form of the game. That is the, "ha, i'm not playing your stupid game!" game.
One game, one exit. It's not all that bad, though.
*smiles* To steal a line from Baz Luhrman, "the race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself."
You make the rules. We all do. We set the terms by which we play the game of life. We like to imagine that outside forces are conspiring to push us in one direction or another, but the truth is that we do it to ourselves.
*grins* But you already know all this. I'm just preaching to the choir :)
The way I see it is that life can either be a race with ourselves towards a destination that we choose, or it can be a rat race against the world which nobody can win because the game is rigged.
what happened to us?soulcellarJuly 19 2005, 00:29:48 UTC
What happened to this great dynamic that always promised to see each other and never did. I like even that. That was a little chat now and again that reminded me that even if it was a little inconvenient, I was generally sought. I followed your footsteps. I used you as an example to justify it. And now I'm sending others to do the same. I just want to bless you, and hope you are well. You know I think saying you don't know is the security blanket. It takes away fault and responsibility. I know and you know, but we know different things that we feel or didn't feel in our bones. Is that so bad? At least we've made some choices. I have. Some good and bad. Be well. Michelle
possibly the last person you want to hear from. I've the last roll of film we shot before things got ugly. They turned out wonderfully as they always did.
Anyway, not sure if you want them sent to your email acct or if I should just post them here..

Nobody ever wins, unless they don't play.
