Yes, we need to get a set for the house and I'm starting to shop around, but would love to find out from all of you what you have, your experiences and if you've heard something about another model/brand.

We're looking I'm looking for a front loading, energy efficient machine that has a larger capacity (for those bolts of fabric we buy)... :)

We have a 2003 model Duet HT, which is the high-end model with silk and wool cycles, as well as an on-board water heater (my BIL worked at an appliance store, which came in handy). I don't know if it's still the case, but when we bought ours the Kenmores and Duets had the same innards. We cloth diapered our 4yo and six months' worth of the younger one, so it's done a LOT of laundry with no problems

Sutragirl and I have Miele washer and dryer, both front loading, both take very small and very large loads with no problem at all, both run pretty efficiently

Last summer we had to buy a new washer (the old one died -- a known problem with the motor, which is why they do not make that brand any more -- grr
