Re: the .20 cent postage thing--that happened to some of my cards, too! But not all of them. It must be a thickness thing, although mine weren't overly thick...my brother got his, no problem, and my parent's took a few extra days to arrive (I actually got home before it did, and I saw the stamp)...the good news is, for whatever reason, the Post Office isn't actually making them pay the .20 cents. It's just SO WEIRD. The box didn't say anything about extra postage required, and, like you, no one at the Post Office said anything...because I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN MACHINABLE.
Sorry to hear about the job thing. Maybe something even better will come up...like loan officer to the stars. When I get down I like to think of porn the things that ARE going right. Even if it's only a little right. I mean...you have me lots of good friends and good books and good fanfiction and if the job thing doesn't work out you can always just rely on your good looks. :)
And if I get a card that I have to pay the extra postage on I will demand you mail me 2 dimes in 2 separate envelopes. In bubble mailers. With insurance. And tracking. There's no other way.
What you ahve written and posted has been AWSOME, so take your time with the rest. It just gives us something to look forward to.

On the job front: ain't that the way it goes nowadays? They bring in some untrained person (to supposedly save money) and spend the time and expense training them and then are suprised when the now experienced employee leaves for a 'better' job.
