It's a lovely day here in Hilo, HI, with the sun shining, birds singing, the bay discoloured, and downtown a little flooded.

The good news is, that seems to be the worst of it here.

The bad news is, things continue to be Very Bad in Japan. I'd like to repeat my request that anyone over there please reply to this post, and let me know you're

It was rather anticlimactic, really. I mean, I'm glad there wasn't a lot of damage - this side, anyway, I heard a hotel on Kona side got flooded out - but it's kind of disappointing after all the RUNNING AWAY ZOMG.
