I started dieting and taking Xenical last Sunday. So far so good. I hope more than anything that this is the diet that will work for me. I've been trying really hard. Just hope that I can keep it up because I have SO much weight to loose. I long for the day that I have the body I want and am able to wear the clothes that I want ( Read more... )

Have a look at a book called Eating Right for Your Type, I think it is.

Pretty much it gives you diets for blood types. Some blood types are allergic to some foods and it keeps you bloated.

Now, before you go "pfff bullshit" I read through it, well applicable sections, and tried it out and the weight loss drop was amazing. Also, cutting out sugar will do absolute wonders for losing weight.

Good luck with it.

I'm eating lot's of fruit and veges (well...when I say lot's...I mean a lot more than I used to which was hardly any), and keeping to low fat, low carb and low sugar. That combined with the Xenical has to work. If it doesn't then God only knows what will....

It's a weight loss drug which helps stop the body absorbing fat...thus forcing it to use it's stored fat.

Having said that...when taking it you don't want to be eating food with high fat content as you'll have a VERY upset tummy if you do...

So it works twofold - it helps force you to eat properly for fear of what may happen if you don't, plus the fat that is in the food that you do eat does not all get absorbed into your body.

Has a lot of success with obese people...and should not be taken by anyone with less than a BMI of 27.

In the US I think it's still prescription only...but over here it was recently made available over-the-counter. Aside from that though...the last tim I saw a Dr she recommended that I try it. Gven the many horror stories I had heard about the drug thought, (in relation to toilet emmergencies), it's taken me some 5 months to get up the courage to try it.

But....I think it's largely due to the horror stories that I am being so careful about only eating good food.

oh, so jealous that you're going to see NIN :( We just bought their recent live DVD and *so* want to go and see them. We even considered flying to Sydney on the way back from Thailand, but at this stage it's going to be too expensive.

certainly does suck, but I understand why they can't make it here after watching that dvd..would be too expensive to bring all the rigs for the awesome visual FX. Hope you and Simon enjoy the show!
