I won't be able to go to this years Under the Blue Moon :( Too much uni work to get through, plus have to take Arielle to a party on Saturday, then Aidans Baptism on Sunday as well as fathers day. This pretty much makes Sunday a write-off as far as uni stuff goes...so no choice but to stay home, (after Ari's party), on Saturday to try to get ( Read more... )

We're not going to UTBM this year either. Lindsay is busy with uni aswell, and we're not that interested in UTBM.

I've heard of lapband surgery, and the people I've heard of who have gotten it have had very good results. Except for those who still eat alot of junk food, and fast food after the surgery, as they don't loose as much weight naturaly. That would be good and easier if you and Simon went through it together!! :D

Yeah...I guess I'm not going to be missing out on that much really as the bands etc for UtBM this year don't really interest me all that much. And if I went...I'd want to buy a heap of things that I can't afford to buy anyway! lol

I was wondering if Lindsay was still at uni or not. Glad he's keeping on with it :)

Take care :)

Oh...and about the lapband...yes..I agree!! I like how it's isn't terribly invasive surgery-wise and it makes you feel full very quickly so that you don't overeat.

Once I'm finished uni and Simon and I are living together...I really want to start an excercise program too. I just really don;t have time right now and I can't leave Arielle at home by herself while I go out. At least if he lives here he can mind her for me :)

Congratulations for you and Simon Living together next year! also Arielle will have a step brother now, which will be wonderful for her!

Lindsay and i joined the gym at a fitness centre called IN SHAPE... that has other non gym excersise classes aswell, such as body pump, body combat and powerfit, that are all covered by the cost of your membership. We're on a programme at the gym with a personal trainer that is also covered by our membership. i particulaily like this place, as alot the people who go there are normal or fat, so you don't get big muscely men showing off around the place, or super skinny women only. There are also kids programmes, and we're enroleing Ash into the gymnatics classes for next year.

There is a child care section and we pay $18 a month for unlimited child care, so i recommend a place like this, as you can all go together as a family and excersise.. and have a child care facility when you need it!

Actually Amanda, I was thinking about it myself but I heard that it takes 10 years off your life when you get older there are a lot of complications and stuff.

If you do it let me know how it goes.

It can't possibly take more time off your life than morbid obesity does. And besides....I'd rather die slim at 75 yrs than die HUGE at 90 yrs if it means that a crane is needed to lift my coffin :P

I don't really see how there could be complications. It can be loosened/tightened as the need requires and it can also be removed.

Maybe you;re thinking about gastric bypass surgery?? No that is something I wouldn't want. And it's far more invasive.

There's a 6 year waiting list for public hospitals, so if you go to a private hospital, there won't be this problem!
