I have been searching on the Internet for rescue shelters and other pet adoption sites and haven't found any Scottish Fold kitten or adults. However, I did find a couple of breeders in Washington, but one of them is too far (near Idaho), and the other has not responded to our inquiry from over a week ago.
As far as prices go, they seem to vary a lot; however, the average price I found was about $300-$400.
There are multiple reasons we are interested in Scottish Folds. For one, the folded ears and large eyes are adorable. Second, in general, they have good health. And the third main reason is that they seem to have a great temperament. They are very affectionate, and they enjoy the company of other animals.
Did you work at Banfield? I've been to one of their adoption events, but I've heard a lot of the animals come from mills. I don't want to support mills..
There's no doubt we could find another cat that we would love very much, but we would really prefer a Scottish Fold.
