I turned in an average of five applications a week. Under that bit where you mention other skills I included an assurance that I will be on time as scheduled. Listening to my current boss, that is a huge concern, not just for him, but for employers in general in this area. It still took a month to find a job I liked. I did have to start part time,it was a year until I got a full time slot.
Holy shit man! I don't think I would even find that many jobs I want to apply for. Thank god for recruitment firms, honestly. Most of the jobs I've ever had I've gotten through those. Luckily I'm in an area without a big downturn and very low unemployment. Yay.
