Why is it that when we see ourselves making giagantic mistakes we don't stop ourselves?

Because people like us like the think that we think with our minds, but we really think with our hearts and act on impulse ... like my spending money on a credit card with no limit ... yeah, I watched myself and yelled at myself and then blocked it out as I slid that plastic through the reader all four times :-P
