Have you read "The Disposessed" by Ursula K. LeGuin? I think it does an excellent job of showing what a functioning anarchist society might look like.

um, we should get married? in a not-sanctioned-by-the-state sort of way, of course. also, although i haven't read the whole thing i hear that "quiet rumors: an anarcha-feminist reader" is full of good things.
