My grandad died on Friday. It was kind of sudden, but not entirely unexpected since he's been getting frail for about a year and has had a bit of a grueling life, what with being a heavy smoker and drinker from the age of about 15 to 60 when he gave up smoking and cut back on drinking massively. He's Scottish and was a Navy chef most of his life
