Tom and I each have reusable advent calendars - nice wooden ones with drawers. We normally fill each others with posh chocs, like Lindor, but this year Tom has admitted he's had a genuis idea for my calendar and wanted to warn me so I can think of something a bit different as well

Notes. Make cute, funny or romantic notes for him. That's always nice. It's probably too late to dry any flowers (Which was my second thought), but there is always things like drawings or promises of shoulder rubs or the like! : )

Oh, I like the notes idea! And/or drawings!

My other thought was an "all five senses" Advent -- one day something pretty to look at, another day something nice to smell, etc. But that might be a lot of running around to find everything.
