Singalong: How Does a Duck Know?

Well, I think I should update my reminder to self from yesterday; it is quite possibly not the Chinese food that got me ill at all, since I've spent virtually the whole day laying down and not feeling well. It wasn't my stomach giving me problems though, so I don't know. Perhaps I got sick last night because I was already coming down with ( Read more... )

Oh, Wicked is excellent. You must try to go see the musical, if you can. It's a bit of a trip for you, but I can attest that the Chicago performers are great and the Ford theater is gorgeous. I think it might be playing on Broadway still...though the tickets there, obviously, not cheap. :o

I used to have the book, but I gave it to a friend. It's...okay, I guess. I'm not the biggest fan of the author's style. The musical is a lot different, though. The book...similar plot, but it's ...murkier? more complicated? It gets bogged down at times, IIRC. But not bad. No where near as funny or light hearted as the musical, though. You might even like it more, though.

Interesting song.

It'd definitely be cheaper to go to New York City, no matter how much cheaper tickets are in Chicago. I'm a bit of a hike from your neck of the woods, love :)

Hm. I like complicated stories [I love the Wheel of Time, remember? ;)] but not when it gets too complicated. Then again, given that I love the Wheel of Time, "too complicated" is very definitely a relative term. I'll have to check it out. The musical, for now, will have to wait, unless they release a video of it. I think they used to do that; I wonder if they still do at all?

Crash Test Dummies RULE ... well, that album, anyway. That was a cassette mainstay in my car for years.

I just found out they had two albums after this one that I've never heard. I knew they had one before it, too, also which I've never heard. From your comment though, are you saying they're not worth the listen? You and I often do seem to share musical tastes, so I'm curious what you think.

Well ... I don't know. I listened to a bit of the first and the third and didn't care for them too much. The second just kind of resonated with me.

I wonder if anyone I know has them? Don't suppose you heard them through anyone over in my neck of the woods, perhaps?

Indeed, a certain fairy has visited the Azurefire Estate™ with a package from across the seas. I have not had the opportunity to take a sample, as I've been spending the better part of the last two days in bed, but I will endeavor to try it as soon as possible.
