Harpsichords, the Law and You

Who comes up with these bizzaro, arcane laws

that forbid people from doing things

only crazy people would try anyhow, I wanna know,

like opening an umbrella while sitting in a teetering lifeboat;

they have a law against that, I understand.

Except that I don't understand that.

Not So Much Afraid of the Dark as In Awe of It

Either the late afternoon sky is pitch black,

ominously, as though there are only thunderclouds

There are many who question

the official story of September 11.

Some of us question how it happened;

some of us wonder where it happened;

and some of us aren’t even sure it happened at all.
