An addition to your playlist for next year, perhaps.... Julian Casablancas is releasing a Christmas single called 'I Wish It Were Christmas Today'. Heard it on the radio the other day and it's great, sounds like some of The Strokes' finest moments. It's actually got enough of a chorus to make it a potential Xmas #1, though I can't see it outselling the X-Factor. But with the right ad campaign, it could do very well indeed.

Sweet! I made a mix a few years ago with quite a lot of these songs on and then due to computer trouble lost it. I will look forward to downloading this later! Thank you. Also happy birthday for whenever it is/was, as I have a feeling I might have missed it!

Yay! A Chainsaw for Christmas made it! I am almost tempted to try to see ZATS on the 17th or 19th December just in case they play their Christmas songs, but am aware that this is becoming A Dangerous Obsession. Wahh.

Anyway.

Um, sorry I missed saying happy birthday yesterday. Happy belated birthday! Hope it was good.

Ooh, lovely!

Yeah, technically it's illegal file sharing, but what's the ethical difference between hosting the files on your webspace and sending a CD through the post?

/librarian who doesn't share the overly-moral "it's wrong!" file-sharing protestations of her coursemates.
