So today, I noticed I have a tiny little bump at the base of my palm, right where my wrist connects with my hand. Unnerved, because it looks out of place and wasn't on the other wrist, I asked my mother to look at it, being in a medical profession

Oh, ouch. D: Well hopefully you don't have to go through surgery. However, if you do, I hope for you a speedy recovery. *hugs*

Thanks, I'm really hoping I don't have to have surgery either... I dunno if they'd make me wrap it up and not use it for a week afterward or not, but I can't stomach the thought of not being able to use my hand for any period of time. =/

Sounds like something a friend of mine had in highschool. She had a lump on her wrist for a while, at least a year I think, but in the end she didn't have to have surgery for it. Hopefully you won't either!

Yikes. I hope it gets better! Sometimes stuff like that just goes away-- hopefully it works out and you won't need surgery.
