((For my new year's resolution, I promised myself I would update this more. That way I wouldn't fall off the face of the earth.

Nearly a month goes by, but HEY LOOK I DID IT. ))

Been a bit of a pain in the ass to completely transfer all my files onto my brand new, shiny HP computer that I bought. My external hard drive made it easier, but I'm still having problems with half my photos not transferring, and to compound the whole mess Paint Shop Pro 9 simply isn't working properly on Windows 7 like it should. I guess it's a sign I should stop being stingy and cough up the money for either Photoshop or an upgraded PSP X2/3. Then it's all the way back to the re-learning how the damn program works, sob. Incoming terrible fanfiction banners in the meantime.

I also quit World of Warcraft about a month or so ago. The new expansion pack just didn't hold my interest and I got so incredibly tired of the never-ending grind to level. I love Feathermoon (my server) so much because it's full of flavored people, but I guess they just can't offset the horrible repetitive feel of the game. There are occasions when I miss my RP characters though, and want to write up stories for them. It's hard letting go of them, not in the sense that I can't kill them off In-character or let any harm come to them, but because they keep god damn creeping back up in random thoughts during the day screaming to be written. @_@

Since then however, I've been looking for a new game to play. Preferably one that is free, or doesn't have monthly fees. It's a bit of a quandary because any decent game is almost going to have to have a subscription fee to keep it going, while the free ones live off micro-transactions to keep themselves afloat and generally don't have much to offer.

So, I've been jumping from game to game trying to find one that fits me. I wouldn't mind an Asian MMO, except that apparently over yonder sea they have a different definition of 'fun' and it means more grinding than even World of Warcraft. ._. Some of the other free ones also have a cartoonish look going on that is entirely too over the top for me to take seriously.

In the meantime I have settled quite nicely with Guild Wars, and will bide my time until Guild Wars 2 or The Old Republic releases. If they release at the same time my bank account is fucked.

In fanfiction news... Well, I'm working. >.>

I realized I haven't posted anything in well over a year at least (maybe two, actually), and I need to stop procrastinating.

Also, I have resolved to review more stories on both Serebii, PC, and fanfiction.net. I guess the reason for my current lack of reviews stems from the fact I can't find anything that I like. If I don't like something, it's turns me away from wanting to comb through it and look for mistakes. If I don't like it, but it's in general pretty bad then I will review it to help give the writer some pointers.

I feel terrible, but it so hard forcing myself to go through and read something I don't like just to tell the writer what I think they did good and bad, because then my list of bads would outweigh the goods so horribly they'd think I'm just a self-centered hard-to-please biatch who wouldn't like anything. Multiply that with reviewing many stories, and in no time I'd wind up known as the website monster who is only out to eat your soul, shred your fanfiction, and steal your candy. While I don't mind stealing candy, I really don't want to wind up alienating entire websites of people because unlike internet trolls I don't get a kick out of seeing someone emotionally react to something I said.

Oh, and I may or may not play Amnesia: The Dark Descent at 2 in the morning with the lights off, a cup of coffee, and a bag of M&Ms. Any game that has my little brother screaming in terror in broad daylight is always worth checking out. Plus I love horror. BRING ON THE ZOMBIES.
