The more I learn about and taste peruvian food, the more I want. I think I am going to go to peru. Maybe that will be my first trip.

1) if you're ever in Pittsburgh and are willing to help with supplies, I's love to cook.

2) If you're ever in Berkeley while I'm there and are willing to help with supplies, my grandma would LOVE to cook.

It's tough to get the creme del la creme of food without a local buddy who knows where to go. Otherwise you're likely to just mundane crappy yummy food instead of the, "Except that I can't drink the water, I want to move here" food. ... put another way, find someone to show you where the food is made with love. It makes a huge difference.

Also try Pisco. Then try Pisco Sours. Peruvian (not Chilean) national drink. Check it :-D

Ah pisco... I have been searching for it in vain since you first mentioned it.

Thank you for the advice... Sooo when will you next be in Berkeley? And when will I next be in pittsburgh?

I'm working out plans of where I'll be over the summer, this week.

If you're not in a state with especially wonky liquor laws, try one of the costco's. California's Costco's tend to had substantial imported wine and liquor sections.
