Everyone seems to be MIA since school started again. I do miss the summer. But my classes seem fun enough. One is on aesthetic systems, essentially my last anthropology class as an undergraduate. Due to my lack of social networking with professors, I feel extra pressure to get chummy with this one. She looks quite young for someone with a doctorate ( Read more... )

You should secure another job first, then put in your two weeks!

I was dealing with a similar thing this week. I've basically been leaving for class at 7, coming home at midnight or 1 a.m. because the Bruin is so short staffed (and we're paid about 30 bucks for 8-10 hours of work at this point). Ultimately, this can't be good for my grades. I discussed the possibility of quitting, but I'd be screwing over the rest of the copy desk, especially my copy chief, so I couldn't bring myself to do it. In the end I just want to focus on my school work too, so I totally feel you... I hope something good does turn up for you though.

I have long breaks between class and work so if you ever want to meet up to study, talk, or go to the gym, let me know :)

I hate how work makes us feel guilty though. Because others just put in their two-weeks notice without thinking about how it affects the rest of us. While I wait until they're a bit more stable and not need me as much. It's happened to me many times in almost all my jobs.

I'm only on campus Tues and Thurs. Tues are no good. But I'm done Thurs at 1:45 and will try to stay on campus to study/go to the gym/or maybe hang out with you guys! I'm also free Fridays so I might drop by campus every now and then.

Eddy is right. If you are on the fence about your job, make sure you find a new one before you quit this one ( ... )

oh, re: the job, you might be able to spread out the "day" (i.e. work four hours one day and four hours another).

ahh nice. I'm definitely open to any other job that might be better than this one. Especially if I can work less and paid more! Anyway, let me know of any further details.
