Okay so we got stuck underground for 11 hours and it only took them 20 minutes to get in, find us, and get us out again. Let's just say that the guy who knew the caves like the back of his hand had his gloves on and we'll leave it at that ( Read more... )

I can sympathise somewhat, having been stuck halfway up a sea cliff for 2-3 hours waiting for rescue. Doesn't really compare to being stuck *under* a mountain, for 11 hours; but yes, geography has a very special, definite sensation of "you're fucked".
