meh
so i finished my speech i was writing the other night. i think i ended up going to bed around 3, then i skipped my first 2 classes the next day in order to finish my speech, and practice it. soo after all of that, i ended up not having to give my speech on monday. aparently the class that i missed the previous friday (when the first groups speeches were supposed to start), the teacher did not have th video camera so no speeches were done. soo the first groups started monday, leaving my group to start today. i am kinda nervous, but at the same time i am pretty confident on my knowledge of the subject i am speaking on so i think it will go well...i hope anyways.
the reason i missed class on friday (i cant remember if i wrote about this or not) was b\c i went w\ tiff and her parents to crystal river for the weekend. we left thursday evening, and came back on sat afternoon (just in time to watch that wretched game) but i had a lot of fun. the day we got there we went out on the boat for a lil bit, then back to the room to get settled, then to dinner at the restaurant at the hotel. it was pretty good (even tho the service sucked)
the next day we woke up at like 6:45 to go out on the boat. that morning it was just me, tiff, and her parents (there were other ppl on the trip w\ us) and we went out to look for manatees. it took us awhile to find some but when we finally did we took turns getting in the water w\ our masks and snorkels and got to swim w\ them and pet them (and for anyone who is concerned...it is not illegal to pet the manatees, it is illegal to harrass them like hitting them, or trying to ride them...which has a totally differnt story about later in the trip lol). it was pretty fun, especially once you got over the shock of how cold the water was (there are tons of very cold water springs that feed into the river). so we were exausted after that trip...i think we were out there for a good 3 hours. when we came back the rest of the party came (tiffs grandparents, their friends, and another lady that was friends w\ her rents) and we all went to eat lunch. then me and tiff went to the dive shop so i could rent a mask, snorkel and fins, and then took a nap b\c we were soooo tired. swimming after manatees is hard work! so that night we went out to dinner at this really yummy seafood place where i got crab cakes that were soooo good. mmm i wish i could have taken my leftovers. haha and since i had rented my mask, snorkel and fins that day (and for the next day) but didnt get to use them i decided to try them on and tiff took a nice funny picture...it was hilarious. i was just prancing around having fun. her parents pretty much paid for everything for me on this trip (like food and everything) but i think i made up for it by making them laugh so much. they are like my 2nd parents :-D
so the next morning we got up super early again, and tiffs dad had rented a pontoon boat for all of us to go out in. and we found manatees really early that day. there were tons of them all around our boat. so i finally got to use my mask and stuff that i rented and swim w\ the manatees! i was swimming w\ tiffs dad looking at this one small one, when he motioned for me to look down, and there was this freaking huuuuge manatee right under me. it scared the shit outta me! i mean this thing had to have been twice my size. later on while swimming i started to get uneasy b\c the water was all murky and stuff from the mud getting swirled around and i couldnt see anything. then i was standing by myself and this stupid lil baby manatee decided to scare me and flipped his tail and some water right behind me...after that i got on the boat and stayed there lol.
so after another 3 hours we headed back to check out of the hotel, and head back to gville. tiff and i made it back just in time to watch the game (blah). i said that i wasnt going to drink during the game...but after the first 5 minutes me and tiff looked at eachother and were like...we definitely need a drink lol. during halftime we ran to moes really quick to get food, and we actually made it back b4 halftime was over. so we ended up staying in for the night and renting movies, and sunday was pretty uneventful besides working, and napping, and procrastinating, and then finally writing my speech.
i had started coughing like sunday a week ago, and it just started getting worse. so i went to the infirmary yesterday (b\c my mother is paranoid and wanted me to go) and i think i ended up being told i have like bronchitis or something b\c the doc prescribed me a z-pack (which usually works very well) and tussionex which is a very nice narcotic that i take b4 bed that has a decongestant, and a cough suppressant so i can sleep. and wow does it make me loopy...its fun! lol and it doesnt taste too bad either which is good. so that is why i figure i am pretty tired today...plus i didnt go to bed till after 1 last night. i was falling asleep in my first class this morning.
ha and guess who called me yesterday...chris...yeah my ex chris. we had been messaging through myspace and stuff randomly just to say hi and catch up and stuff...and he had called me earlier in the day for a few min b\c i had sent him a message the night b4, then we were talking online and he asked if he could call me so i am like, sure whatever it cant hurt anything. so we actually talked for almost an hour and a half and i really enjoyed it actually. we hadnt spoken on the phone since february when i called to thank him for my flowers he sent when i was in the hospital. so it was nice to catch up and stuff.
anyways this entry has gotten super long! and i feel like a coughing fit is coming on so i should prolly leave the library...k later kiddos!
