The Will and the Wordcount (Hand gestures optional)

So, yes, I'm actually attempting Nano this year... or at least 50000 words in fandom. Like last year, this'll mostly be through parallel storylines. This time, I'm aiming for at least two thousand per character, instead of the drabblematic. To start us off, one of my new sources of crack, thanks to boz4pm:

What's that gesture resemble? Prayer? )

nano, fma, fic

Very nice! I want to know more of these two! ^o^

hands = argh
I'll go along with that wholeheartedly! (That is if you mean that the attempt of drawing hands makes one go "ARGH!!!" If otherwise, just ignore me! -_^ )

Well, limbs in general are not my best subject to begin with, and then you try for the sense of scale and... I should really stick to the fic.

But Fullmetal Alchemist=crack. With miniskirts on. Just warning you.

Ooh, very nice! You have great descriptions and turns of phrase. It's not my fandom but I can understand the gist of it. I loved the other, lying head to head across from him as if they were two twisted lengths of bumpy rail on a coal mine cart’s track, has extended a hand as if to grasp the heavens and dozens of tiny, pointed green villagers that had collapsed under the weight of his friend. It's quite different to your Tolkienverse or Jossverse fics, and I'm looking forward to more.

hands = argh Oh hell yes. That, and horses. I spent half my childhood trying to draw equines.

Thank you! I'm never, ever writing present tense again.

Well, to be honest, most of the intro isn't related to the fandom, either, and NaNov means never going back to check your translation's spelling. *Points to icon* (Not that the link above is entirely consistent, either... Ah, well. Call her Riza, Liza, or Elizabeth, Hawkeye still prods buttock. But she comes in much later in the fic...)

Is that why it's called present tense? :D
