Job update, girls and nothing much more than that :P

Dec 12, 2004 18:57

Whoa, 26th of November was my last post... that's over two weeks! Actually, I think that's how far apart my posts have been for months now. I'm contemplating whether or not I should make a conscious effort to post more frequently, but as I think about it right now, I recall why I rarely post - I often have not a great deal to say! On the other hand ( Read more... )

I'm the same way... Oh, I mean 'hello'.

I would like to post more often but as I've stated once before I simply refuse to be one of those vapid people that posts about the dullest things simply because I want to make an entry. I'm rather lucky my friends list doesn't have that in it.

Congratulations on making a new friend and I'm glad the job is going well. I share you feeling that you should know more by now.

Think I wanna get married or something crazy...

What do you mean 'or'? :p

I don't feel compelled to pick up the phone on a regular basis and give them a call to see what they're up to.

Because you already know it involves future medical trouble and potentially making great friends with an oxygen tank.

The closest friend (which wasn't that close) I had in school smokes too so I'm not upset about not having seen him in over a year, myself ( ... )

*waves* Hello, all the way up there in QLD! :P

Thanks. Strangely enough, this "new friend", Kim, is a smoker :o| Although she tells me she had quit for 5 months recently, but the stress got too much so she started again, and only occasionally. I'm hoping if we do end up spending any time together, she will refrain from smoking for my sake, although that sounds a little selfish. But smokers are inherently selfish anyway, so bugger the selfishness in that statement :P

You're right - marriage WOULD be crazy! I doubt I'll be married before I'm 30, and I'm happy about that.

Because you already know it involves future medical trouble and potentially making great friends with an oxygen tank.Correct! I'm more intelligent than to deliberately and knowingly subject myself to the ill-effects of such a filthy habit. Thank God they're banning ( ... )

Hello! :D

And you think this is long???

Well yeah, for me it was long, but for one Emma "egirl" Bruty, it probably looked more like a "to do" list :P

I don't get the "Emma Tolstoy" bit. Is there anything to get? Did I miss something? Please explain? :o)

Tolstoy write War and Peace, amongst other tomes that were VERY, VERY long!

That pretty much covers it. ;-)

Stupid smokers!
You know, I went to a non-smoking event last weekend and I STILL came home stinking of ciggarette & weed smoke. Nobody gives a shit for the rules or anyone elses health. It was indoors and security guards were telling people off, but they still didn't give a shit.
Everytime someone smoked near me I would wave my hands about madly to get the smoke out of my face. They always felt guilty, because they knew they weren't meant to be smoking!!!

Anyway... hello :D

Stupid smokers!

I know! They suck so bad...

They're selfish, I tell ya! The way I see it, the very act of smoking is downright selfish. Nothing good can be said for the filthy habit.

They always felt guilty, because they knew they weren't meant to be smoking!!!

Hmm, I highly doubt they felt any guilt at all. They're getting their fix and that's all that matters to them. Smoking really is a highly idiotic act.

Anyway... hello :D

Hello! :D Thanks for stopping by. I made that request to see who still has me on their flist, as I will be doing a bit of a clean-up soon methinks. It seems this thread has become a big anti-smoking rant. Ah well, so be it :P

If people want to smoke, that's fine...I just wish they would do it someone else where other peoples' health isn't going to be affected by their poor choices!!!

Roll on, 2007! (Or, earlier, if the anti-smoking lobby has their way!)

Emma.
Perpetuating the rant... ;-)
