I was just posting a review on one of my all-time favorite fanfics, and got to thinking: "If I was marooned on a desert island, what ten fanfics would I want with me? Which ones do I go back and read again and again

Completely agree with your RGB recs. BTW, if you need some of RT's stuff, I can email you the Sooper Sekrit File.
I'm just getting into SGA in a fannish sense (so, of course, the series's just been canceled), but I am totally digging on your recs, especially liketheriver. BTW, she wrote a really great SGA piece for an upcoming issue of Brotherhood that I'm looking forward to crowing about at the panels next MW*C.
Are the DS9 stories zine or online?
BTW, I have a friend who's looking for gen classic Trek recs. I'd love to share 'em if you got 'em.
Hopefully I'm doing this right and you receive my reply...
I know the ds9 stories by Gabrielle Lawson are at ffnet: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/4532/Gabrielle_Lawson Just be warned; "Oswiecim" is really long and intense - set aside several uninterrupted hours in private to read it. All her other work is excellent as well, but very Dr. Bashir H/C centric.
Most of the original gen trek I've read has been in print zines - if your friend is going to Mediawest, she should be able to pick up some used ones fairly cheap (it's where I got mine). Being a McCoy H/C fan, I like the zine "The Complete Rack" (pretty sure that's the title)
All I can say about the SGA cancellation is that there had BETTER be the promised movies!
Mmmmm, thank you! I haven't read any DS9 yet, but I think H/C, especially Bashir-centric, would be just the ticket!
I don't think my friend is going to MWC, but I can give her the addresses of several print dealers I've worked with before. Thanks for the rec. For fanfic, ST is wholly new to me.
Oh, thanks for the offer, but I have RT's stuff already, backed up in three different places to be on the safe side! "Lady Luck" is another favorite of mine, as well as "The Loa"
