I'm always impressed by this episode. Plotwise I think it's probably one of, if not the best (although admittedly almost anything would look good next to last week's!) I really like the structure, what with that shocker beginning, and the viewers getting to know Sula before learning that she is somehow also Anna, and the two parallel plotlines inevitably heading together like a slow-motion train-wreck

I like how this ep is almost a mirror image of 'City' as far as Vila & Avon goes, showing that the protectiveness runs both ways. Up until now, anyway...
As I remember, the coming episodes are a bit peculiar in themselves, so it may not be that easy to tell... But I don't think Avon goes obviously over the edge until 'Terminal'.
I really enjoyed this one. Poor tortured Avon is a *tad* overdone, as is the Shrinker taunting - I'm with Cally on that.
I like the stroppy teenage Section Leader Forres, feet on the desk, having a pout.
I am never convinced about the metallic bedsheets. They look very itchy!
It's very odd seeing Servalan in a country home instead of futuristic spaceports. Finall, her dress sense blends!
Avon's face as he realises who Bartholomew was, is truly tragic. My heart broke a teeny tiny bit. I love how the crew gang up on him to help :) Not sure Dayna's scarlet outfit is amazing camoflague.
Do I think Servalan was going to kill him... not a chance. Surprised she didnlt use the chance to have anther go at stealing the Liberator, the way the season has been going thus far!
Forres seems a really familiar character, like someone you might have shared a class with. Adding bonus shock value to his death!
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what to believe about Servalan here (particularly as Tarrant was doing the psychoanalysing) but you may be right. And while I don't find Servalan/Avon that interesting usually, I did like that little moment of understanding they seem to have at the end, in spite of everything.
ILike Cris Boucher's handle on the characters. Avon is ruthless and driven, not reckless, Vila is hapless but carelss and unluckily overzealous on theteleport pickup instead of outright dim, Cally challenging but ultimately supportive, and meaningfully use is made of Tarrant's militaryu background in getting the guard to cooperate, Dayna's a bit one dimensional but gets some good lines ("Now everyone's showing up!" makes me smile). The minor characters are well drawn and real-seeming people too, particularly the two unfortunate security bods
