in my cataloging class we are learning a lot of kind of dull things. for instance (and i am sure the two people reading this are really excited to continue now), the ramifications of forgetting a semicolon in a MARC record. specificially, this makes it so that the searchable title might not omit the word "the" from the beginning (dear lord!! haha. Gosh, LC is great. Heather and I had a long discussion over whether series with many volumes and multiple editions should be shelved by volume, then year; or year, then volume.

no but the "volume, then year; year, then volume" debate really should not divide the library community so much. we need to work together and compromise, instead of allowing this rift to build between us. although, anyone who sides with "year, then volume" disgusts me... not you, megan, i hope?!

oh my god. i am a terrible, terrible person for laughing so hard at this. i just went to wheelchairsfordogs.com, though, and all the dogs have names like, "zoom zoom," "moonwalker," "hopper." whyyy?

Another victim of the Iraq war.
I bet our parents would consider getting one for Toby if he back legs got too weak. No joke: i saw an obese lady in a wheelchair going down division towards Kendall, but she "walking" while sitting in the chair! ??? and she had the strength in those legs to ramp the curb. It was pretty surreal.
