Apparently I neglected to mention to people why I was headed off to Armidale on the weekend. It really isn't that fun a story...it was for my father's 50th b'day party. It was...fun...I guess. got home as my mother finshed hemming my jeans, and left at around 12:30.

Did you need the jeans to be hemmed so that you could leave? Just a tangential thought...

Most amazing thing of the weekend was the fact that my car idn't breakdown!

The birthday was a month ago.

The bells are changeringing ones, and we rang a quarter peal, which takes about 45 minutes, then we had to ring the bells up and down. find our tower and some explanations at www.anzab.org.au

Yes, I needed the jeans hemmed - I wasn't going to pay for them to be hemmed here in Brisbane!

Yes, I was very concerned about my car breaking down - it does most times I take it on a long trip! I don't want it to - it's meant to last until January when rego is due, and then it's being retired.

Because it is something I do *shrug* I think we were dedcating that quarter to the queen's birthday, but really, it's just fun

:: big grin :: Ah yes, the car not breaking down. 1991 Ford Tempo, nicknamed "The Gimpo." Those days can make one break out the spectacles and try to decipher the meaning of transportation and alternate routes to the same destination.

Gotta love the boring weekends once in a while, they bring meaning to some of the smaller events that come about.
