I had to go back and find this entry - I remember reading it a while ago... I do not remember when, but it really struck me and I quite love the concept. I have been trying to embrace the idea of finding my own personal style and working on the house and the gardens... that seems like a fantastic piece of advice.

I will have to remember this while this is in progress and I and feel overwhelmed. Keep the edges tidy. :)

It also calls to mind the concept that simple may not always be the same as easy: it is a very simple piece of advice, but I am not sure it is easy to follow. We will see. :)

Oh I never claimed it was easy. Interesting, yes. Challenging, sure. Probably a working solution, very likely. Easy, not so much

There it falls in line with "anything worth having isn't easily obtained." I do not remember where I heard that, but it has stuck with me forever. I will just have to keep on minding the edges and try and calm down when I get frazzled about everything else.

Easier said than done, of course, but I, like my house and garden, am a work in progress.
