Love is Animal Cake

I made a cake for my Dad's retirement party. I'm pretty happy with it. It's supposed to look like a big snare drum with Animal from the Muppet Show playing drums on the top. My favorite part is the Ritz cracker cymbals. The unibrow is what really makes the face, by the way. I thought I was all finished with him, but he just didn't look like Animal,

For you, I would probably make a Beatles cake. Maybe a replica yellow submarine? Or maybe just a sheet cake (or guitar-shaped cake! My mom has a guitar cake pan) with the logos of your favorite bands painted on. I'm assuming they have logos. These indie bands, who knows. I'm open to suggestion though. I'd be interested in making cakes based on other people's ideas since so far all I've made has been my own design.

So, I mean, come back to Texas. You just might get some cake out of it.

For Dot, of course, the cake would be in the shape of a black beret. For Maygin, a giant cupcake. For Sarah, a Pinky Street. For Laurie...I guess a beer bottle. Or a bottle of whatever her favorite beverage might be.

See, there's a little part of me that thinks of all my friends in terms of cake.

I would need an edible beret, because I can't wear my real ones anymore. :( My hair is officially too big to be contained by a hat and until it grows out about... six more inches and flops down, I'm shit out of luck.

Also, if this cake were running for public office, I would campaign heavily for it.
