Faramir had showed Riddick how to build a shelter, once, with the local flora in the woods. He'd gone ahead and spruced it up during the week, swept out the snow and lined the lean-to with the evergreen branches-- good insulation, good smell. Murphy opened the door, a large thermal sleeping bag, some cookware and an couple of large thermoses strapped to her back. Her guns were in their holsters in her gun belt; the ammo wasn't visible. And she was dressed in some fairly insulated clothing.

"Yes, I am," she said with a smile. "Got a spare knife? And hey, where's Honey?"

Riddick pointed. The Dane was keeping watch at the elevator, tail going like a machete. "He knows it's a camping weekend. He's all excited." He smiled, passed over a long, sturdy hunting knife with a serrated edge. "If you wanna do the wetwork, I owe you lessons anyway, for the firearms lessons."

Murphy chuckled. "Good. Glad he's coming along."

She accepted the sheathed knife with a smile and clipped it to her belt. "I'd like to try it--if I can use one without endangering us both. And thanks."

She ran over her mental list of everything she was bringing. Had she forgotten anything? No.

"Okay, then," she said. Stepping out of the room, she turned and locked the door, shoved the keys in her pocket and pulled on her insulated gloves. "Lead the way."

He kissed her on the upturned nose before heading to the stairs, bumping open the door with an elbow and holding it with his foot for her.

The streets were quiet as they headed out-- the calm before the weekend storm, Saturday night still gearing up to start. Riddick turned them out of the village, almost toward the stables but not quite, and into thick, dark woods. "I set up a camp site, fire pit, if that's okay."
