It's a good mix of jealousy and over-possessivness imo. Brian doesn't need much to find a new trick. The next ones would be waiting already. Also, maybe he kinda wanted to safe Justin. I've read this approach in some ff and liked it. Justin and these two guys...well, blond boy lost. And Brian does feel responsible for him, whether he wants to admit it or not.
