So, I've been tapped to make dessert for Easter dinner with friends this year. I can't imagine dessert will be all that big a deal after 7 metric tons of Cadbury eggs, peanut butter eggs, Whopper eggs, etc. etc., but I'm committed to doing it ( Read more... )

Well, being the slacker I am, I'd just go with Sara Lee's cream puffs and eclairs, but since you've *got* to make it, how about making a poundcake and serving it with strawberries and whipped cream as Strawberry Shortcake? Then T-Pop can have ol' plain cake, if he wants. Or, you could churn some vanilla ice cream to go with it instead of whipped cream.

Easter... I don't know that there was ever... food.

I think we had beer, ordered pizza, and invited the rest of the trailor park over for rat-kabobs.

Actually, there was lots of chocolate, giant chocolate bunnies, and more chocolate.
I mean - after all, Jesus rose from the dead and WAS a chocolate rabbit. Historical proof: Documents. Pictures. Memorabilia at the souvenier shops. "I saw the Chocolate Rabbit rise from the Dead!" t-shirt, 30% off!
