I just returned from my venture north seeing my parents in Michigans' Upper Peninsula. It's like going back in time 20 years, that place. I love it.

On the good news front, I was just awarded a $5,000 scholarship for grad school from a radio foundation according to a letter I received in the mail upon my return this afternoon. Money is pretty

I started programming Helmet "Unsung" and Faith No More "Midlife Crisis" at the radio station just because I have been so enthralled with Radio X in San Andreas. Yeah, I am a geek.

Q101 called me yesterday; looks like they are in a jam for the 4th and 23rd and need my aide. Brock to the rescue! Of course, the gas for the trips to Chicago and back will cost me half of my paycheck, but oh well. For some reason, it feels really cool to know that they feel they can still call me for help.

I had minor surgery today; I had a pellet removed from deep in my ankle. It had been there about 12 years now, and begun to bother me a lot. I talked to the surgeon today and he was all, "that's too deep, we are going to have to put you under and go digging for it."
