And in his own roundabout way, Arthur is the best at "cheering up Martin". There's a lot of cheering up to do, obviously, but I think Martin's right in that his extended family might be better than the disfunctional one that Sherlock and Mycroft belong to!
*Grins* I'm really glad you thought I got their voices right! I love sometimes reading back and just thinking, "Yes, I could TOTALLY hear so-and-so saying that," so it's awesome when other people hear it too.
Yeah, despite everyone and all their logical adult thinking, Arthur's just so beautifully childishly simple about the facts that Martin can't help but be cheered up a bit by him.
