we have a lovely blue sky with just a few wispy clouds today. Hubby is watching (what else?) a car race, and son has gone back to bed for more rest. Among the Pilgrims who founded Plymouth, there was a member of the ship's crew named John Billington. He turned out to be a nasty guy, and when the Pilgrims found him stealing,etc., they cast him out of the colony. When he committed a crime,(I think it was murder), he was banned to the small island in the middle of the lake, where he survived a short while on berries,etc., but eventually died there.
