Anniversary

With writing about our meeting and courtship, I thought a post about  the 'proposal'! was in order! It was Xmas Eve and he suggested we go to the Cathedral for Midnight Mass, which we did, along with his sister and brother. It was a lovely ceremony with lots of  beautiful music and flowers,etc. When we came out of church,it was lightly snowing and

Thank you! We were saving $$ for the wedding, and so we made our 'dates' visiting aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. and spending as little $$ as possible!! It was also a nice way to have him meet my large number of relatives and for me to meet his relatives,too. His Mom was a real peach,and became a good friend to me! When she was in her 'declning' years, she entered a nice nursing home in our town and we visited her often.
