Atlanta: I drove there from Starkville by myself (5-6 hours) to get to a KKPsi (band fraternity) conference, one day late (cuz I visited claire at auburn). I forgot which hotel it was at, but I did know the color of the name of the hotel. So at first I drove around, but that proved impossible, cuz driving in Atlanta is hard. So I parked in a parking garage (which I thought would be like 10 dollars for two days, but ended up being like 50) and walked barefoot to all the hotels (my shoes hurt my feet so bad). It would have been fine, except it was getting dark and there were lots of homeless people asking me (the 7-year old) for money. After about 6 hotels, I finally found it and went to my room, where nobody was and I couldnt get in. So I sat in the hallway for about 20 minutes, when this KKPsi guy from a different school tells me that everyone is at the stomping festival thing (i forget what it is called) and so I went there and looked for an hour but couldnt find them, though the dancing was really good. And then I went back ( ... )

well it feels good that u still kind fo remember me. ha. but i have already been accepted at auburn, and i already turned in money for housing and all that, so i am basically a bonefied tiger. which is kind of sad, cause i used to say roll tide alot. but the main things i want to know is if u regret going somewhere far away from home for college. and have there been troubles from that or anything? also how do u stay focused so much with school and everything? i am a somewhat decent student, but i do have weaknesses in some subjects, especially math. this year has been very hard in math, so it kind of makes me a little worried about college.

ah, Auburn is a good school. You'll have fun. OK, for your questions: I do wish that I went to college closer to Bham, but I definitely don't regret coming to Furman. I love it here, and it has become my second home. I have had to find rides to get home, but that actually hasn't been a big problem. I don't know about Auburn, but at Furman, people love to hang out, but they also understand that people have to study. Also, there are places to go to get studying done (such as the library) and after your first bad grade, you'll likely discipline yourself to go to these places in order to get work done. that is, if you don't discipline yourself at first. Since you are going to college, I assume that you want a degree, so that should motivate you in itself. As for problems with math, I can't actually say that I have been there before, since I'm a math-physics major (atleast at the mo). But there should be people that you'll know who can help or maybe a math help place. Like we have a Math Resource Center. Plus, you might not even need to ( ... )
