Jon -

Remind me to teach you how to use a wonderful thing called a "paragraph" someday. :P

Sometimes without proper English it can be difficult to distinguish what someone is saying in a post.

For example, you just said "damn theman with there...proper english!"

Now, most of that I read just fine, but I stumbled on the word "there."

See, I thought you meant "there" as in a location. "Hey, over there!"

So, when I read the word "there," I thought the rest of that sentence was screwed up, and I was trying to find where you'd specified a location that the word "there" refers to.

And then I realized you mean "their," which is a possessive term, as in "it belongs to..."

So, really, that should have read "Damn the man with their proper English!"

:)

Class dismissed.

You know, it's times like this where Penny Arcade really does the best job of telling you how to do it.

I warn you, there be strong language within that comic strip. Lots of f-bombs.

Actually, Matt, you missed a vital part in Sir Hoskins' statement. He said, "Damn the man with there...proper english." He must be confused, for the "possessive," as we've decided to agree he intended, does in no regards agree with its possessor: "man." Man is singular and should therefore be reflected with the possessive: His.

Also...I agree with Jason: Jon, you must upgive the rebellious attitude you have toward school. Just because you hate school shouldn't infect your writing capability. Learn to compartmentalize.
